About the Society

The Society For Constitutional Law Discussion (TSCLD) is an organisation dedicated to the working and advancement of constitutional law and allied jurisprudence. Founded by a former student of Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, in July 2020, TSCLD was inspired by the constitutional law societies functioning at other leading National Law Universities across India, and set out to encourage rigorous academic dialogue and legal writing among students, scholars, and professionals.

Over the years, TSCLD has grown from a campus-based initiative into one of India's most prominent academic organisations in the domain of constitutional law — ranked among the top constitutional law platforms across the globe. Through its blog and the peer-reviewed Journal of Constitutional Studies (JCS), the Society brings together students, academicians, and practitioners to write and debate the constitutional questions shaping India and the world today.
